There are typically two types of pumps: the lift pump (which moves fuel from the tank to the injection pump) and the injection pump (which pressurizes the fuel for injection). 3. **Fuel Filter**: Before the fuel reaches the engine, it passes through a fuel filter that removes impurities and contaminants, ensuring that only clean fuel enters the engine. 4. **Fuel Injectors**: These are precision devices that atomize the fuel and inject it directly into the combustion chamber at high pressure.
